4-19-21 THOUGHTS

I don’t believe Paul was a fancy preacher.  I doubt he would have made the list of “great preachers today.” Comments from the Lord’s table yesterday sent me to 1Corinthians, the early area.  One of the great divides in our world is the WISDOM OF THE WORLD versus the WISDOM OF GOD.  Eternity will be decided here.  ONE THING matters because the Wisdom of God is vested in Christ Jesus. There is no doubt that God was with Paul as he declared the GOSPEL OF CHRIST!

1Cor 2:1-9    And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3  And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.  6  Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Paul’s “nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified” is summarizing and powerful.  If I ask myself “WHO AM I?”, the answer ought to connect to Paul’s statement is some way.
Col 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
FOCUS IN MY LIFE IS A PROBLEM!  I suppose it is a problem for us all?  Satan spreads a smorgasbord banquet before us continually.  The items entice and divert our FOCUS!  TRULY, where my treasure is, there you find MY HEART!  CHURCH, OUR HEARTS BELONG TO GOD... THEY WERE BOUGHT BY THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LAMB!  
CHRIST then, MUST BE MY LIFE!

My Prayer:
O God, thank you for the blood bought Church that you have us a part of.  Help us to focus on what matters.  Guide our living for Christ.  As we see Jesus, bless us with the joy of your salvation.  Makes our minds and hearts one as we serve you and labor in the kingdom. We wish to be with you in heaven eternally dear Father.  In the name of the one who saves us     Amen
